Solivus Shines: A Breakthrough Year of Industry Recognition (2024-2025)

As the industry takes notice, we’re proud to reflect on the achievements which have positioned Solivus as recognised leaders in solar innovation, impact, and environmental commitment.

THE EARTHSHOT PRIZE

A notable accolade of 2025, Solivus are honoured to have been shortlisted for the Earthshot Prize 2025! The Earthshot Prize finds, supports and celebrates those who turn bold ideas into real solutions to repair our planet. Earthshot search the globe for game-changing innovations which will repair our planet, helping them to grow and awarding the very best five solutions each year with £1 million each to scale their work.

“The Earthshot Prize exists to champion the game-changers, the makers, the creatives, the leaders. When they win, we all win” says Prince William, Founder and President of The Earthshot Prize.

Solivus are thrilled to now be part of The Earthshot Prize’s database of solutions used to connect solutions with opportunities, finance platforms, support programmes, reports and a whole network of climate innovation. EDIE AWARDS

Solivus CEO, Jo Parker-Swift was nominated for an edie Award for Business Leader of the Year, in Q1 of 2025. The edie awards are the UK's longest running and largest sustainability awards scheme and are extremely prestigious. Sponsors of the Awards this year included the NHS, the National Trust, Amazon, Virgin Media and KPMG.

THE GREAT BRITISH ENTREPRENEUR AWARDS

But there’s no stopping Jo there. Jo has been announced as a finalist for ‘Sustainability Entrepreneur of the Year’ in Allica Bank’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards, in June 2025. Known as The Grammys of Entrepreneurship, the awards celebrate the ‘UK’s most inspiring and impactful business stories in the UK.’ With the Awards established in 2012, past winners include:

The wonderful Julie Chen and Chris Forbes of Cheeky Panda
Jordan Brompton, Co-Founder and Sales Director of myenergi
James Watt, businessman and former Brewdog CEO.

Finalists will be announced at a glitzy AwardsGala on the 17th November at the iconic Grosvenor Hotel, London. See the list of 2025 London Finalists here.

WOMEN IN GREEN BUSINESS AWARDS

On 3rd October last year, Solivus and Solivus CEO, Jo Parker-Swift were nominated for not one, not two, but a grand total of 7 Women in Green Business Awards, attending the ceremony with Sustainable Ventures. Solivus were finalists for Business of the Year and Employer of the Year. Jo was a (very well-deserving… if we do say so ourselves) finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year. We were delighted to see Jo featured in Business Green in January of 2025, discussing the future of solar in commercial real estate. You can read the opinion piece here.

THE SPECTATOR'S ECONOMIC INNOVATORS OF THE YEAR AWARDS

Cast your mind back to November 2024, and you may remember Solivus CEO, Jo Parker-Swift and CFO, James Carr adorning their finery, as they attended the Spectator's Awards Gala at the stunning Kimpton Fitzroy, London. Solivus were delighted to be selected as finalists for London & the Southeast amidst rigorous competition, in the Environmental Purpose category of these prestigious Awards, held in partnership with Rathbones.

SOLAR & STORAGE LIVE AWARDS

Last but certainly not least, Solivus and Jo Parker-Swift have each been nominated for a Solar & Storage Live Award. Solar & Storage Live is the UK’s leading and largest clean energy event and a global marketplace for the latest and greatest solar and battery solutions. Solivus have been nominated for Contractors of the Year, and Jo has been nominated for the Lucy Aitchison Women in Energy Award. Founder and Engineering Director at Photon Energy until her tragic passing in 2023, Lucy Aitchison worked in the solar industry for 25 years. After completing her degree in Electrical Engineering, Lucy took a job with bp solar in 1998, remaining in the solar industry ever since. A truly inspiring woman, with an incredible passion and commitment to our sector.

So, to summarise – it’s been a highly-successful 2024-2025 in the glamorous world of clean energy awards, for Solivus. It’s wonderful to have our mission to decarbonise the built environment with lightweight solar recognised across the industry.  We’re busy dusting off our trophy cabinet… and we can’t wait to see what the rest of 2025 has in store for us!
