Site Manager - Solar PV

  • Manage the delivery of commercial & industrial rooftop solar PV throughout the UK during pre-commencement, construction, and post completion 
  • Ideally SE or Midlands based 
  • Hybrid - Home / London Office / Site as required 

Solivus are a fast-growing and exciting scale-up business working to commercialise cutting edge thin-film solar PV technology. We are striving to decarbonise the built environment and provide energy security for our customers using technology that is good for the planet and good for people.

We are looking for a site manager with at least 3 years’ experience in delivering large scale rooftop commercial and industrial solar PV projects. As site manager you will be a key member of our project delivery team representing Solivus, acting as our authority on site, and managing all site activity.

Responsibilities

  • Site management of multi-disciplinary projects inc. solar PV, electrical, roofing, and civils
  • Ensure compliance with, and manage, all internal and site related HSE policies and requirements
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders including clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Work with the delivery team to meet programme deadlines and budget by managing all site works 
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings & reviews
  • Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and inspections of works for quality
  • Document and track labour, materials, costs, and site activities to provide daily update reports
  • Assess risks, recognise issues, and communicate and review any findings with management
  • Investigate any complaints and implement swift corrective action to resolve

Essentials

  • Minimum 3 years' multi-disciplinary site management experience
  • SMSTS qualification and thorough knowledge of HSE & CDM
  • Strong leadership and negotiation qualities
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with demanding situations
  • Proactive attitude toward quality management and attention to detail
  • Cordial and professional with good client facing skills 
  • Excellent project planning, change and time management abilities.
  • Ability to understand solar & electrical design drawings
  • Proficient with MS office and documentation control
  • Effective written and verbal communicator
  • Excellent independent and team worker

Desirables

  • HSEQ experience
  • Proficiency with project management tools
  • Electrical / Solar PV qualifications and background
  • NEBOSH qualification
