THE MISSION

Our mission is to decarbonise the built environment. We want to make it as easy as possible for mega-buildings and homeowners to reduce their carbon emissions by installing our innovative light-weight solar solutions.

THE OFFICE

Solivus is situated between Waterloo and Westminster in the heart of London. Overlooking the river, with views of Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament, Solivus shares a home with 100+ climate-tech businesses at the Sustainable Ventures flagship headquarters.

With hot desking, phone booth meeting rooms, community break out areas, a café and bar, and regular quiz nights and social events, you will find yourself within a unique and collaborative ecosystem.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the CFO, this role will support Solivus by looking after the operational finance segment of the business. This role will ensure the business runs smoothly by managing finance functions such as accounting, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management and forecasting.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Forecasting, financial planning, cash flow and cash management
  • Monthly management accounts and reporting
  • Performing oversight of all regulatory functions, including quarterly VAT return and monthly EC sales list
  • Organising and managing financial audits to comply with current legislation
  • Management of daily accounts routines, journals, bank transactions, prepayments, accruals, maintenance of fixed asset register, timely and controlled supplier payments, reconciliations
  • Provide oversight of commercial arrangements, particularly legal and contractual aspects
  • Support senior managers on finance, HR and commercial related matters
  • Oversee and take responsibility for credit control
  • Payroll, pensions, and HR administration
  • Liaison with the Company’s external accountants, to plan and complete year-ends, tax planning, calculations and returns
  • Managing the Company’s insurances
  • Ensuring Companies House records are kept up to date

THE REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

·      Bachelor’s degree level qualification in accounting or similar subject

·      2+ years of experience in managing payroll systems

·      Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)  

·      Demonstrable experience of dealing with large volumes of data

·      Experience in preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial accounts

·      Strong communication, negotiation and influencing abilities

·      Advanced Excel skills and accounts system administration

·      Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining quality and accuracy

·      Experience of using Xero accounting software

Desirable:

·      Experience of using other accounting software and cashflow forecasting software

THE OFFER

·      £40k-£60k annual salary

·      Flexible hybrid working – 2/3 days a week in the office. Potential for part time, subject to mutual agreement.
